How I Got Started
My interest began when I discovered a scrapbook among my mother’s belongings that contained over two hundred newspaper clippings about her older sister, Mildred Doran.
I was surprised by how famous she had been back then and the fact that she had been forgotten.

About My Books
The first book, Shooting Star, was to make sure Mildred was not forgotten. The second book, 1927, was to remember all the aviators that attempted to emulate Lindbergh in that brilliant year in aviation.
The third, More Than A Man Can Stand, remembers Paul Redfern, who attempted to fly solo to Rio de Janeiro. This book is partly true and partly a product of my imagination. It tells the story of what it was like for a civilized man to live with primitive natives in a treacherous jungle.
